Stick Night Bel-Air is less than two weeks away! We will be getting together over at the American Jewish University, which is located in beautiful Bel-Air, CA starting at 7pm. A $10 donation is requested for the event, which will feature live performances by five different Stick players, including Emmett Chapman himself. Each performer will have 10 minutes to perform a solo set.
At 8pm, we will show Dan Chapman’s work-in-progress documentary on Emmett Chapman’s life work entitled “Emmett“. The film in it’s current state is about 40 minutes long. There will be some Q&A time with the Director after the movie. Peeps can visit chapdoc to get a preview of Emmett’s amazing journey in bringing the Chapman Stick to life.
At 9pm, there will be another round of music, but this will feature additional instrumentalists, including Navid Ardakani on Santur, Patrick Hildebrand on Ukulele and Mavis on Drums. Each performer will play a final round of music.
Merchandise will be available for those that want it, books, informational materials and an opportunity to meet all the performers and instructors. We hope that you can make it out – if you have any questions, please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
